I'm an 8th grader obsessed with finding college options. I hope to go to University after High School and Major in Journalism. I'm not in gate right now and im bordering on getting into Honor English next year.
My main goal is NYU but I've been hearing around that NYU is really bias towards private School students and I go to public school. Therefore, I feel it's a bit out of my reach.
Boston univeristy, on the other hand, I have yet to find information. But the acceptance ratios I've viewed seems a little more in my reach.
Over all, Which is a better Journalism school and Which is harder to get into?

Don't believe everything you hear. 68% of those admitted to NYU went to public schools. See the link below for more details.
Both schools are great schools (though BU is overpriced). NYU is the higher ranked school.
If you are thinking about these schools, you should be thinking of other high quality schools as well. Columbia University would be a better school for journalism. Also -- many of the better state universities like Texas and Minnesota have great J-Schools.

NYU is definitely harder to get into. However, if you work hard, it is feasible. Your only in eighth grade, so it is all in your hands right now. Yes, private school students do receive an advantage, but that doesn't mean they overlook public school students.
If you are really serious about journalism you should look into these schools:
Northwestern University
Indiana University
UNC- Chapel Hill
Michigan State University

There both great schools , but I here great things about Boston University all the time.

Boston College is a better school than Boston Unviersity, however NYU is better for jouralism.

Both Unversity are find school. I suggest you go to the school you want to and not the one you have too. But first I suggest you do a little more research into the differ colleges and see what is needed to meet their requirement to get in to their programs. Also the different in cost and if their any special requirement that must be meet in order to get into the program. You may want to talk to someone at each of the college and had them send you material on their programs. Before you have to send any money to get in their school.

I think Boston is better, and it's a bit harder to get into. This is super funny, because I'm also an 8th grader who is obsessed about colleges. Lol.
