Pakistan's ISI is tribally related to the Taliban regime. You don't pass a test to become a Pashtun, nor is there any training for it. You are either born one are you aren't. To accurately describe their stance among themselves and the world I need quote a Pashtun proverb I read in Lone Survivor, by Marcus Luttrell (excellent book btw):
"Me against my brothers, my brothers and I against my cousins, my cousins, brothers, and I and me against the world."
That speaks volumes for the relationship between the Pakistani government (ISI mainly - their equivalent to our CIA) and the Taliban/Al-Qaeda. It is in the Taliban/Al-Qaeda's best interest that the Pakistani government remain sympathetic to them and Bin Laden (who they are undoubtedly harboring, or not actively searching for him and hassling us when we try to, so what's the difference?). He will have safe refuge there and in Afghanistan's tribal areas as long as he is not being actively hassled. Bhutto would have hassled them, so Bhutto had to go.
Edit: There is not a whole lot of difference in Al-Qaeda sympathizers and Musharraf these days. He has been riding the fence the whole time in order to keep relations with him and his own government agencies at peace. Even more so now that he knows his "legitimate, democratically elected days" are up. So whether it was his henchmens or Al-Qaeda's there wasn't a nickles worth of difference. I could go on all day.
BOTTOM LINE: If Al-Qaeda wanted Musharraf dead, they have enough resources inside Pakistan's ISI to do so within minutes of the order being given. The reverse is also true, if Musharraf gave the US a green light to take out Al-Qaeda from within Pakistan's tribal areas we would have Bin Laden before 2008.
May God bless the peace loving and oppressed people of Pakistan today!

I thing that is not Islamic behavior ,it is a personal or group that is looking to achieves some thing
, and poto is victim of this politic interaction especially in Pakistan.I'm against any one who call him self Islamic Party or even naming his country as Islamic ...etc.
Isalm is away from all these extreme predilection, that leades to such bad situation, and no one has right to indicate every pumer to Islamic ,that is not true at all. just take deep breath and open both of your eyes to see our world very clearly without any
cloudness that interrupt the transparence of Islam.

It is as usual the Islamo-Fascists, whether they call themselves, Al Quida. Hamas, Shites, and/or Sunnis they are all rabid dogs who have shown time after time how they intend to run the world. From the dungeons of Iraq, to the be-headings in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Philippines, to the bombings in New York, Britain, Spain, Morocco, Germany, and every other country they infest. Until the world decides to fight all Islamo-Fascists instead of appeasing them as Musharraf, Spain and the Cut Run and Surrender Democrats in the US Democrat party have done, we will continue to morn the violence and death this religion of pigs practices.

Well I'm willing to bet that Musharraff announces that it's Al Qaeda (they hate democracy, don'tcherknow) but within a few weeks it'll emerge that it was nowhere near as simple as that. To be honest at the moment we just don't know. It could have been Al Qaeda, could have been a Musharraff supporter acting alone, could have been hardline Islamists who don't believe in democracy or women's rights, could have been the Pakistani government trying to off one of their biggest opponents.
