5000 pieces
maybe 1 or 2 under the sofa. i always throw them there if i am having problems making a piece fit.

It wouldn't matter if it was a 25 piece puzzle or a 1000 piece puzzle .... one piece would be missing!

maybe a 500 piece puzzle...with 83 missing pieces...(4 pieces would probably be in my dog's stomach)
