Two small six inch hoses by the rack and pinion, one had a pinhole leak in it. Replaced it, clamp leaked two days later. Replaced the clamp lasted two weeks, now sitting in my parking lot at work in a puddle of steering fluid. Some one told me one of the lines was high pressure and that the fuel line I put in probably was not strong enough. The parts place I bought it from said it would work. Too cold and wet to crawl under there today to see what is going on. Anybody hear about this type of problem before?

You would need to get those hoses from the dealer or the exact OEM replacements from a parts place, the pressure rating on rubber hoses is different even if the size of the hose is the same

Are you sure its Power Steering fluid thats in the power steering lines? If the wrong fluid is in (like brake fluid for instance) the lines will not be able to handle it as it expands from the heat of use.

Also, maybe you need to flush the system. If theres a clog some where the pressure can keep blowing the lines.

You can also keep blowing the lines if you're putting too much fluid in. A little less is better than hitting the line. It expands as it heats.

And yes, if the lines were not intended for high pressure they wont survive on the caravan. The systems of a caravan are the same as a 1500 pick up, so its a stronger bigger system than whats on a car.
