Not often enough? Its asked quite a bit, the past generations have set low standards and are the main reasons the generations of today aren't as educated as they should be. Oh, and its "are", not is.

very inefficiently. If the teachers taught and trained students how to efficiently concentrate your mind when studying, it would be better than just talking about things that will be read anyways in the textbook, babbling about non-related subjects, joking, etc.
