No, the PS3 doesn't have the feature that allows you to play your own personal music while playing a game. There might be a new update that will allow that feature, but no one knows for sure at this point. The 2.00 update back in November was rumored to have that feature, but it didn't.

And yes I do recommend buying a keyboard. With the PS3, you can use a wired USB Keyboard and there is also a good Logitech Wireless Keyboard that's made for the PS3 as well.

there is not any thank you to get PS2 backwards compatibility at this element. The gadget would not have an Emotion Chip that's the source of PS2 compatibility. Emotion Chips have been taken out of extra modern-day PS3 fashions to shrink production costs (alongside with different constructive properties), which led to value drops.
