This one is farily easy. Right click on an empty space on your desktop, and click on properties. This will bring up the display settings window. Click on the settings tab, on this page there will be a screen resolution slider. Slide it to the right to make things smaller, 1024x768 is a pretty good setting. Then click apply and ok. If you don't like that size start over untill you find the size you like.

Your resolution settings have been reduced. Right click on the desktop, select either Properties or Personalize, depending on which OS you are using, and in the dialog box which appears click on Settings or just click on tabs until you locate the resolution settings, and change it to a higher resolution. That should fix it easily.
If it doesn't, you can use the Direct X Troubleshooter, by opening the Run box, or in Vista just type it in the Search box, and type: dxdiag and click OK or Enter or for Vista, double click on the name in the list.
In the dialog box, click on the tabs and run the tests. After you are finished all should be where you wish it. You should start with the Display tab and then if that doesn't correct the issue try different ones. It doesn't hurt to run all of the tests to ensure the repair shop didn't make other unwanted changes as well as changing your relolution.
If you are unable to do these, or if they do not work, contact the repair shop and demand they fix this issue for you.
Good luck and have a nice day.

Sounds like your resolution is to little. Do the following:
Start > Control Panel > Display > Then click the Settings tab.
or
Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Themes > Change the Screen Resolution
You should change it to something at least 1024 X 768. The higher the numbers, the smaller everything will be.
Or you could just do the easier solution written by the dude above me.

Dont think any of those above answers will fix your problem.
Open up explorer, click on view, go to text size and choose a smaller one. The text will change depending on how big your monitor is
