im thinking of buying sims 2 deluxe, but im not sure if you need sims 2.

No, that's the whole point of "deluxe", the original package is included, AND at least one expansion.

Nope, you sure don't!
I have The Sims 2 Deluxe and you don't need to buy the regular Sims 2. The Sims 2 Deluxe comes with the core game and the Nightlife expansion pack. It works great! Alll you have to do is put the disc into your DVD drive and install it. Nightlife installs with the core game and it is ready for you to play after installation.
You should get it. It's a great game and a great product.

Nope! Sims 2 Deluxe contains the base game (The Sims 2) and The Sims 2 Nightlife. So it already has what you need included.

the sims 2 deluxe is just the sims 2 and sims 2 nightlife. if you already have the sims 2 then you dont need to buy the deluxe you just need to buy they sims 2 nightlife..but if you don't have the sims 2 then you can buy the deluxe pack and it will already have everything in it you need
