My only theory is that the woman must be frigid.

All the typical answers I thought I would get with no real explanations. What do I expect from this Answers crowd anyway? Bunch of mental midgets.

There are plenty of reasons - while it is pleasurable etc. Some women just do not have the energy - even if we just lay there it still takes energy.

I have 3 children (2 are only 2 yrs old ) and run a home daycare. I am exhausted by 6 after dinner. All I want to do is sleep. When I ws younger - it was not a problem. Some women peak at different ages and will have a span where that is all they want to do.

We are not frigid - but it is not the most important thing in our life unfortunatley for you and the million other men out there. Sex can be great - but it is better for us when it is not every damn night :)

Ok, you have a point about the other answers, no real substance. Not many women want to admit ever being "frigid" and apparently get pretty defensive about it.

I think the answer lies in asking the woman to whom youre referring. I would think that people are non-responsive for different reasons, you need to find out what her reason is.

Has she ever come on to you, or do you always make the first move? Maybe she is overwhelmed by the frequency, there is really not enough information here to answer the question

This is like really obvious.

There are a lot of couples that have no love for eachother left from let's say, years of abuse. They may even develop a certain repulsion for eachother. Maybe it's mutual, maybe it's something only the "victim" feels, you have both cases. regardless of the specifics, It's not really hard to understand why for example, an abused wife, would see sex with her abuser, like a chore, and even like a personal martyrdom.

They take it for several reasons, ranging from self-concept, to kid's interestes, family/social pressures...

Hope this helps

If it isn't relaxing and pleasurable, then is IS a chore.

If the woman is turned on (women are NOT identical to men in this regard), then she'd find it pleasurable.

If the man doesn't do anything that arouses her, that's why she sees it as a chore.

Maybe she's not getting the pleasure out of it. this maybe no fault of yours, there are medical reasons why this happens and sometimes a doctor can help. Other than that I have no idea why anyone would look at it as a chore, it's kinda odd.

It has to be relaxing and pleasureable for you both, the Karma Sutra is a good place to start....a wise person once said to me about sex that men are like microwaves and women are like slow cook ovens, it just takes a woman longer to get to the desired place, you just have to be patient, introduce longer foreplay and you will have her multiple orgasming, good luck x

Being frigid has nothing to do with it. Men and women are completely different species... People have different sex drives... Doesn't mean they don't LIKE sex. Maybe they don't like it with a certain person, or at a certain time, but trust me... Everyone likes sex at their own time.

You have do things that will make your woman desire you. A lack of spontaneity and thoughtfulness is a turn off. Woman are not as complicated as you make make us out to be. Try focusing your energy on her needs and not your own. And DONT have unreasonable expectations.

I'm a woman and have never considered sex as a chore.

I've never really talked to anyone who has felt this way.

Oh well.

If you think it is a chore, then you are not having fun with yourself. I think the " midget" you are talking about may be part of your problem.
