Yes...you can send a check to the treasury to pay down the debt. Would you ever do it? Or is it someone else's problem?

HAHAHA - no I'm not a liberal...I just think it's interesting that they have a way to donate to pay it down.

Even if I wanted to, my check, even if it were possibly one billion dollars, would be statistically insignificant and barely help contribute to pay off the national debt. It is like trying to find a needle in a haystack by removing just one straw.

Why? So Republicans can spend it into debt again trying to impose their wills on every other country?
Get a different view of how a government should operate, and I'll eb happy to donate to it.

If we would, with the way it operates currently, why not just skip the middle man and send it directly to the weapon manufacturers?

properly it quite is not our duty, because of the fact the government/President have been given us into this mess, yet genuinely if i actually thought it may circulate to the ideal places to hold our debt down, then specific, i could do it, no longer for Obama, no longer for our government, yet for the yank people. i could do something i grow as a thank you to, to help our u . s . a ., yet such as you're announcing, how could all of us be attentive to if the money grow to be quite going for use to pay our debt? the government/President could could desire to make differences first, like tutor us they'll resign donating money to terrorist worldwide places, tutor us they are rather attempting to do what's ideal for the individuals..and that they could desire to ask for forgiveness to each and all the individuals in usa and let us know clearly, they'll do their damnedest to objective to alter issues for the greater advantageous..and admit they made a poor mistake..and then specific, i could probable provide them yet another danger and donate. it quite is the least they could do.

Our Country is very important, but we did not cause the debt! The politicians did by paying $500 for a toilet seat and stupid things like that! Maybe a few LESS politicians on the payroll would help!

You must be a liberal to pose such a solution.

Here's a conservative solution for you: the government can do like the private citizen and only spend what is in it's budget!

Let the government spend less!

Is that such a crazy idea????

No, I won't send the government more money...if I do that, the hungry monster will just figure everyone was undertaxed in the first place.

You can do that if you want to, but they will just increase spending and fritter away any extra money they get their hands on.

No, the only solution si to reduce spending while increasing revenue. Fiscal dicipline my friend.

This is not a rational thing to do. The debt is much more complex then you understand it to be.
