This question goes out to all the car electricians.

I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse and for some reason the following won’t turn on: front headlights, turns signal lights, backlights, and dashboard lights. How can I fix this problem? Where would I start? Where can I find the wiring diagram on the car. Would you recommend I look for a fuse or are there no fuses for the problem that I am having?

The headlights are on a different fuse than the running and dash lights. I would suspect that the turn signal/lighting switch may have issues. The headlight fuses are in the engine compartment fuse box and the running lights and dash lights have their fuses in the fuse box inside the car.

It sounds like you have a blown fuse. There is probably a fuse block under your hood by the battery and also one somewhere inside the car. Not sure where it is on a Mitsubishi.

For wiring diagrams you can go to AutoZone.com and select your car and then find repair manuals, diagrams, etc.

The valve cover has to come off and replace the 4 spark plug tower seals. Pull the spark plugs and I'll bet they have oil around the porcelain part. If the plug wires are oil soaked they will also need replacing. Put NGK plugs in the motor.
