Now that the investigation is concluded, Ron had specifically denied the Ferrari information had gone further than one technician...(now a comeplete lie) should Ron be banned from F1?

Any thoughts?

(No, I'm not a McLaren hater...I actually like german products...I'm just asking the question. Think of it as an integrity thing?!??!?!!?)

Ron has been hurt by this whole scandal far more deeply than anyone else and more so than he's let on.
I've said before I suspect that much of what went on happened behind his back because he would not approve of it. Just as a driver would prefer to "beat the best" on track Ron wants to win constructors titles by beating the best in a fair manner. It would be a loss to F1 if Ron left. Once such a thing is uncovered there is no easy way to handle it, if there was a mistake it was not being exhaustive in the initial internal investigation.

He should stay since he's the essence of McLaren, you can get rid of him but then he still has a share in the team, so no. As much as he's messed up this year, leaving the team is just not exactly the right choice. What I'd suggest is for him to let Whitmarsh take care of his duties for a year, he still shows up sits in the control box and stuff but pressure goes to Martin. Might help him get back on his feet.

Seriously, this anti-Ron bull**** must stop now. It's over, Ron Dennis is staying, and McLaren is going to bag both Championships next year.

Peace out.

he should stay, i do believe he is guilty, and he along with the team was fined, so he has been punished, and as long as the fine is paid no further action needs to be taken

but don't give me this crap about him not cheating, like hes some golden nugget born straight from the butt hole of Christ almighty himself,

every team....EVERY TEAM.... !!!!!E-V-E-R-Y T-E-A-M!!!!!! in ALL racing, from F1,Le Mans, & NASCAR all the way down to the guy running at the local dirt track is looking for the advantage that will bring them the win, and if it isn't legal but they can get away with it then they will,

to think otherwise is to fool yourself,

It would be hard to ban the owner of the team for a lifetime from the sport. A suspension would be appropiate, if the weren't fine so heavy (the amount is justified). McLaren's penalty is completely justified, NFL's penalty on the Patriots is a joke!

I don't follow any particular team and I never have...

but...

CAN WE DROP THIS NOW? IT'S GETTING BORING!

If you want the answer to this question use the search facility...it's been asked enough times in the last month for everyone who ever comes to the F1 section to have answered it at least once.
