Why is it sooooo hard to find and sooooo expensive when you do. Walmart, Best Buy, and Target don't even carry it. Ebay, Amazon, and Used Game/Movie/CD stores sell it for $50+. For example I went to a used game store called Buy Backs and I saw it and it was $60.99. I thought it was a mistake and was $6.99 since all the DVDs are around that price, but no the price was $60.99. Is it ever gonna be cheap, when is it so expensive. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...probably because it is now considered out-of-print, and as such, has been deemed a 'collector's item'; when a film (...or any material item, for instance) reaches this particular state/condition, you can be rest assured that the money-hungry jackels out there, will ask for more than a pretty penny, for such a 'rare' item.....and there WILL be clueless and ignorant suckers out there, who will definitely fork over their hard-earned dollars for this.....that is, until some distributor. at some point, re-issues the film you are talking about (...and it, for the most part, almost always happens), once again affordably; then the hapless folks, who forked over the big bucks for the out-of-print edition(s), can walk around with 'SUCKER' tatooed on their foreheads...

...please excuse the descriptive rant; your question hit a sore spot, as time and time again, I have been one of those 'suckers'!!!

My son is also a huge Nightmare before Christmas fan and I was trying to buy him a copy as well, it is not necessarily out of print forever, it is a Disney movie and as of 07, they put it back in the "Disney vault" so until they bring it back out you can only pay the ridiculous prices, get a burned copy or resort to VHS which is cheaper, and what we ended up having to do.
