I would inform the other parent.
I do not at all agree with the answer to the question....
I as a parent...know that my child will experiment in her teens but it does not mean that they should be allowed to without parental influence.
I will not condone pre adult sex...but I do realize that it is a fact. I was a teenager once myself.
My wife and I have already discussed this issue..when we feel it is the "right time" we will sit our child down and have a very lengthy discussion with her. We are both in agreement that we will be sure she is on birth control...
If she is going to experiment....then I at the very least want her to be as safe as possible from a pregnancy that will effect the rest of her life

Yes, I agree. A child should be allowed to experiment without influence from a parent or guardian. However it would be very irresponsible of the parent to not investigate when it comes to relationships made over the Internet. If given a chance, the parent should keep an eye out for the child in case anything potentially harmful develops without directly intervening until necessary.
Though this may sound dishonest on the parent's behalf may help to ensure the safety of the child.

The advice given sounds like what any rational human being would do without the interjection of all the religious crap. Young people should be able to explore who they are without the interjection of their parents or anyone as a matter of fact. Two thumbs up!
Of course, on the other hand, I'm sure the religious zealots would say that the person giving the advice should not be doing so since this is the advice that they disagree with...

The advice is very good. I do think that regardless of who the child is attracted to, the only important thing about sex at that age is to know it should be something to be put off til the young girl is older. That answer is great!

I agree with that 100%. A parent should be concerned about their child's sexual activity but should not begin an inquisition against their orientation!

Good for her. Nothing worse than parents getting involved in their child's sexuality...
