I have'nt been comming on Y/A for about 5 days due to being ill, but I have just realised that 3 of my new contacts (initiated by them) have dissapeared now from my profile page, could anyone let me know how this could happen if they diddn't delete me themselves, which I don't think they did, because like I said they were the ones that added me and I gladly added them to mine, thats why I'm confussed that they have dissapeared

hope you dont mind me asking another question, but it is related in a roundabout way...what is the difference between contacts and fans, I have people in "fans" who I thought were my contacts...oh, this is all so confusing to me...lol

Oh My...I just added morgan o, that said "successful", then I just Tried to add Scooter from her link to me, and that said " Unsuccessful,You can't add Scooter at this time".....you are all right, it must be a Yahoo glitch

Have no idea dear. I did notice that a lot of my old friends are gone from here. I was gone for 6 days and when I came back I found a lot of people gone. No Chip Monk who I miss for his witty remarks to my goofy questions. Don't know what to tell you either, other than I am glad to hear you are better and back here too!!

It sounds like they removed themselves; otherwise, they would still be there. Yes, it does happen. I check my contact periodically to see if I am on their contact list. If not, I remove them from mine. Some do not allow any contacts due to the spying issues and the trolls.
To answer your question regarding fans and contacts, you can have fans that would like to be your contact. If you click on the fan list and select add to my contacts, they will be added. Fans only have limited access to your questions and answers. Your contacts have access to all. I trust all of my contacts completely. I was gone for almost two weeks from this site due to moving and when I returned, I noted completely new names and have only found very few that have been here a long time. It is probably due to holidays.

I would love to have all of you as contacts and to open my E-mail but I need to protect my family from unscrupulous people who are more savy about how this all works than I am. I see so much on here that should have stayed in highschool and that is not how I choose to spend my time. I used to try to answer all the questions but found it a bit stressful trying to keep up so my New Years resolution is going to be to just" go with th flow"

Because of all the abuses that go on in here
I don't allow contacts and hide my Q & A's
I don't really want to but you have to protect yourself.
I think more and more people are doing this now
So this is probably the reason for their dissaperance from
your contact list.
Seems sad that a few can ruin it for the majority
but it can be upsetting to get an unwarrented violation or
a nasty email.

People come and go on here. Some get their feelings hurt and others just become super cautious about having contacts. I no longer allow email, IM or have any contacts because of problems with pests. You may never understand what's going on in Y/A. I sure don't!

We're sorry you've been poorly recently but really pleased you are feeling better now. There are a lot of dreaded lurgy bugs flying around at the mo....might have something to do with our good ol' British weather chopping and changing between freezing cold and then warming up.
As for the Contact thingy, we've had problems with it recently too with a few of our Contacts where they've not taken us off & we haven't but we've disappeared from theirs & they from ours. Yahoo is renouned for glitches.
You are still on our Contact list & we're still on yours. xx

I think that some have left and some are doing some clean up for their own protection. I also got an email from one of my contacts saying that they were leaving. Good to hear that you are feeling better now.

I do know one that emailed me and said they were getting rid of all their contacts and were leaving here. They did just that too. I can't say who that person was here, but if I was to get an email, I will say then who it was. I even know why they left as well.

i've got been having that on and rancid in view that they did the facelift some months in the past. no longer something deadly. the clarification I examine is they direction via backup servers for the duration of cases of heavy site visitors and the backup servers are actually unable to get right of entry to the database for some products of person suggestions.

Troll attacks have caused quite a few to shut down their contacts and fans access. No offense to you probably just a safety precaution.
