A lie is a lie no matter what level it is. Before answering anything to your soulmate, ask yourself this, how would you feel if this was done to you? Do you like being lied to? Being bipolar has nothing to do with a lie. A lie is a choice not a part of a chemical imbalance. Be true to yourself.

Being bi-polar doesn't absolve you from blame for your behavior, but it is understandable that it produces some fairly quirky reactions from time to time. If possible, you should try to get a medical/therapeutic handle on the condition first, then you'll see more clearly how to deal with other issues. And, if you feel comfortable enough doing so, allow your significant other to be a part of the process. I wish you the very best of luck in that regard.

The truth is always better, isn't it? Try telling the truth, as it's probably far more interesting than the crazy stories. Besides, everyone probably knows your lying so... why lie to yourself and others? You might find that you prefer honesty to all the deception, even if you lose your partner over it. At least you'll be livin' in the real world.

After you tell your little white lie(s), you should say "I'm Just Kiiddddding!" like Ferricito on Saturday Night Live!

But on a serious note, you should seek medical attention if your bipolar disorder is affecting your life. Do whatever it takes to feel normal and not have to lie to your significant other. They will understand.

I really get what you are saying :)...if you are not seeing a doctor or taking medication, please, seriously consider doing so. If you have medication, but stopped taking it, because you started to feel better...you know the drill...DON'T stop your meds. :) Now about the lying, if someone loves you, is you soul mate...they will accept you -- all of you no matter what. You do not need to lie --- just keep telling yourself that when that urge hits you --- you can do this. Try meditation its tough at first, but it will quite your mind so you can regain control of your thoughts. Good luck...if you need to talk email me

No such thing as a white lie, a lie is a lie. I believe if you have to tell any type of lie to cover up anything then you have a major problem in your relationship. I have learned the hard way that all relationships only sink if you have to cover anything up.

I've had a tough life but I am not a liar. Lies are lies, white lies can be as destructive as any other. If you know you are doing this you should know how to stop. Either way you need to stop before your partner loses all trust in you, if he hasn't already.

That's losing (not loosing) and stop lying. No, I'm not into white lies or any other color lies. If I don't feel comfy being honest, then I try to say nothing at all.

Lying = bad karma.
