Yes, your career is OVER! How STUPID can you get, to show up for a DOT job with drugs in your system? Were you also planning on showing up for work stoned?

No, absolutely not. You need to wait a good month before trying again. Don't apply at Werner though. Truck drivers are needed really bad so look elsewhere. When they ask you if you ever tested positive on a drug screen in the past, be sure to answer no. And stop doing drugs damnit!

I hope not, too. My partner's a trucker, and has never failed a drug test for the last 18 years. You know how he gets around those tests? He doesn't do drugs!!!

I believe it's not over, but also, was the drug test from your employer or the state, because the state can give them to you at anytime. My ex failed his one time, got hired back, then when the state came in, he failed again, then, he was done for.

First of all if you fail a drug test that is something you brought on yourself. So the answer is quite simple. No you cannot work driving a semi. Wal Mart needs door greeters I hear.

pretty much if it was reported to dac, but there is a program called sap you can go through but your going to have to pay for it yourself, some companies will take you some wont, but it will be put on your dac you went through the program,,,
Or find a company theat doesnt use dac,,, many dont,,, they just send you down and take a test... but unless you have driven for the training companies insurance companies are not going to take anyone without 2 years otr experiance

And, for what it's worth, don't hang out with people that smoke dope either... second hand marijuana is just as bad as if you did it yourself. Your career isn't over at one failed drug test but you really really really don't want to fail another one.

If it was a piss test then it would be reported to the DOT and you would lose it for a year or so. A hair or saliva would be technically confidential.

it most likely is with that company. find out if you can reapply after a set amount of time. Some companies will let you retest after a year.
