The honeymoon is a magical time when couples celebrate new beginnings and the start of a wondrous life of love spent together. During the honeymoon, newlyweds have the luxury of being totally absorbed in one another and usually take this time to rekindle their romantic feelings towards one another after a period of time which is usually filled with hectic wedding planning.

For many couples, the honeymoon is often their first chance to catch their breath after the wedding and the only chance that they will get to travel in the near future. That is why it is extremely important to plan a honeymoon that will be filled with glorious memories to treasure for years to come.

What? Like, it's tradition that newlyweds go on some sort of vacation.

Edit - Yeah, I guess it's so they get a chance to go away before they're too broke to afford it and enjoy their wedding night. Catch my drift?

lol..it's a tradition frm back in the day when the father of the bride would supply the groom with a month's worth of "HONEY WINE" also known as mead, so that the couple could keep the mood right and it was supposed to increase fertility.

hence that is where the HONEY part comes from and MOON is for Month.

Historically, the groom's father would provide the first month's ("moon") worth of mead- an ale made from honey.

Hence, Honey moon.
