You need not go to a good school. You need not do well.

What you need -- and all that you need -- is a break into the business.

This business is built exclusively on connections and exerperience. The most important thing you can do is land an internship at an agnecy or sports marketing group.

If not that, do an internship at your college's athletic department.

You have to start at the bottom, but once you get your foot in the door with hard work you can get there.

The only other route is go to a top notch law school and land a job with a firm that does some athlete rep work.

This is a much harder road.

I know several people who do this -- none got there by where they went to school or how well they did. They all got there by landing the right internship.

Get a degree in sports business. Wharton is, probably, the best, just as it is in finance overall. You should also get a degree in law; both are extremely important for agents, if you want to be a Boras-type moneymaker.
