I have a hp pavilion dv6500 with 2 gigs of ram and it has a camera and i am trying to video chat with my friend and my camera wont work i can see her but she can not see me do you no what is wrong with my camera or is there something special you have to do to make it work. if you do that would be a great help.

first make sure the camera is connected directly to the computer, then unplug and replug the USB cable, make sure your computer makes a noise or informs you somehow that it recognizes hardware being installed usually you will hear a "be du" sound if it worked and a "du du du" if it didn’t work on windows. If it does work make sure you have installed all the software and that you have an up to date version of whatever chat service you’re using. Hope this helps
