He wants to play in 2008. He faces charges of lying to the Grand Jury. Will any team bite? He seems a little like Ricky Williams of the Miami Dolphins. He's thinks he's above the law. Hopefully the truth will come out.

I doubt any team will be willing to sign him.

Like every sport program around is saying, it's got to be for an American League team since his legs just won't make it defensively.

Here's the thing about the Federal Gov't and the Grand Jury in my opinion. They are gonna get you. They've spent over 4 years going over every minute detail of Bond's interaction with this case and you know they've spent a great deal of $ doing this. Once they're involved, I've read that they have a 97% conviction rate. Pretty steep odds..dont you think?

Barry Bonds is done. To those of you who say he will sign on with the A's & that he has a lot of fans in this area. You are wrong. Barry is hated on this side of the Bay.

Every A's fan I've talked to, we have been diehard fans since they first came here from KC, do not want him on the team. The A's believe in TEAM, Barry only believes in BARRY. He would destroy this team.

I head the Oakland A's were interested in him, but I don't think they would want to pay his double bloated salary. However, I'm sure some team will try to sign him. Probably in the American League as a designated hitter though, since he is aging....

I think if he is signed, the team will do it because they are in desparate need of a big bat in their line-up, and he's the closest thing they can find, and they might use Bonds as a way to lure fans to the ballpark. After all, wouldn't you go to a game to boo Bonds?

To compare Ricky Williams to Barry Bonds is ridiculous. Ricky Williams is a least man enough to admit he made some mistakes...Barry Bonds is still hiding behind his lawyers...

im really unsure he will be signed.
baseball plays 6 days a week so him going on trial he could possiably miss a fair ammount of games. and who know what kind of mental toal all this could take and how it might affect his hitting. i just dont know if their is a team willing to poney up the kind of money it would take to sign him and know he possiably might miss a lot of games

There is a chance some team might grab him, he would be a good fit with the A's and he has a lot of fans in the area.

The Oakland A's will sign him about a month into the season. He'll do some jail time most likely.
