We don't know the intricacies of this assassination,do we?And those in power right now in Pak may be the only ones who know about the details of this shocking incident.
It's indeed a loss,at a time when things were looking like they might improve(even if they wern't improving then).
Benazir was a person who believed in democracy and that was the best thing about her.
Whatever type of govts,Pak has had and may have in the future, democracy is surely going to be the best.
Its an accountable form of govt. ,responsive to the people's needs and moreover, people's own.
And the huge support Benazir had itself shows that the people of Pak want democratic rule and their hopes have been affected badly if not shattered....
Musharraf may or may not have had a hand in this......we,the people don't know a bit about the whole thing.Anything might have been possible..
It's a sad that a person of her calibre and intellect was killed.
But,as long as the people in Pak want democracy, many more leaders might come to the fold..

The state of pakistan declares millitary rule legal in the state and hence everytime democracy has tried to establish itself, it's representative has been wiped off the picture by a despot....it is very likely here too that Musharraf had a role to play in this assasination...
This is sure to hurt Pakistan for many reasons ....the first one being the imposition of 'Emergency' in the country, the deletion/ postpone of the elections to be held on the 8th of jan which, otherwise would have allowed the subjects to express their view and may b, bring about changes in their lives....Benzir Bhutto is indeed a huge loss to Pakistan and various other nations as well, especially where women are supressed....she is a loss to the whole arena of international politics.

I believe he was because this women represented America . Americans were the ones who brought her back to essentially take control from Musharraf , Musharraf saw this and couldn't do anything to stop it , so he declared Martial Law . After that didn't work and the US still pushing Bhutto along with Europe , the women was killed .
Sad ? Well yes but its more complicated then that , I expect to hear talks of bombing Pakistan in the coming weeks , let's hope it doesn't happen .

Hola Monti
First of all, bad news, this is gonna hurt Pakistan very profound. A lot I mean. I think that any assasinate is the nastiest thing you can do to any human being.
About Musharraf getting into this trouble, of course he does. This is gonna be awsom, now he is saying that is not runnin' on next polls, that would be great to see how this will play out.

This is a sad news and this will hurt Pakistan quite a lot. Bhutto was trying to establish democracy in the country.
Musharraf may have something to do with it but nothing can be said at the moment

I know most people will doubt Musharraf's hand in this.I personally don't believe in this Hypothesis. What about ISI/Pak Army ?
I don't think anything like a great loss has happened to Pakistan. The history of Pak is such that no one can rule Pak without obtaining prior approval of the ISI/Pak Army ,any action by the head of the Govt. there. The situation would have remained almost alike had there been a change in leadership through an election (?).

I dont know if he had anything directly to do with it, but the protection he was providing could and should have been a hell of a lot better, especially considering there had already been an attempt to kill her. And its a huge loss because at the moment it looks like Musharaff is going to go in to a mode of dictatorship, and its broken the pakistani peoples trust in the govt (Musharaff). Not only that but Bhutto was working with the west to try and stop the terror bombings and now that shes gone, well...........

Benazir's Assasintation will change the face of pakistan politics. This will create the political violence and political in stability. The way she was greeted from her exile gave the indication that she will be targeted in the future.
I believe firmly that Musharaf has masterminded this political assasination becasue she is upcoming as a great political threat for him, In elections if her party wins she will defnetly overthrow him from pakistan.
Who will be more benifited by the assasination of Mrs.Bhutto none other than President Musharaff and this action will give indirect warning to all anti musharaff powers like Nawaz Shariff,Imran khan etc.
As long as Democracy is not railed in pakistan it will face lots of problems apart of that a strict constitution should be made to keep away ISI and Millitary from the power.
And the fate of Musharaff will be as same as previous Dictators and one fine day American god father will kick off the support for Musharaff.

This is a big loss. Benazir Bhutto was a big hope for the people of her country. She was trying to establish democracy in that country so this is surely going to hurt the people of Pakistan.
She herself said in a speech that a true muslim will never attack her.
Now those people who attacked her can't call themselves muslim

At this time especially she was the most important Pakistani politician.Had she been alive she would definitely have been the prime minister again
Yeah its quite possible that Musharraf or the military regime has to do something with it but who knows the truth!? Everything is a speculation in such a situation
Pakistan is a country that has absolutely no future I think
