I feel very sad about it and I don't know why. I'm not Pakistani.

I think I'm sad because she was a woman with great courage and people with courage are needed on that side of the world even more than they are here.

This is a tragedy of Pakistan Politics. The Army/ISI rules. What I feel on the assassination of Benazir Bhutto has nothing to do with the fate of this country. There cannot be democracy in Pakistan and whoever has a prospect of being elected as the administrative head of this country must get the support of the Army and the ISI(two sides of the same coin).
There's an army called Pak Army which needs a land for its existence and dictate terms as it likes.....that land is called Pakistan. It's not a nation nor a country .It's simply a territory under the Army to weild power.
My heart is bleeding when I am writing this.

Its all very sad indeed, but I doubt whether she can end the violence, poverty and religious extremism. We must not forget that Pakistan is a nuclear power and who can guarantee that if she was prime minister she wouldn't be overturned and the country led by religious extremists that could threaten world peace. There's no doubt that the whole idea of her going back to Pakistan was hatched by Bush and some of her other school mates from Yale. Incidendally, wasn't Bush from Yale also ?

She had it coming. She knew she was a target and yet she knowingly drew crowds to these events and put innocent lives at risk. In october when she came back to pakistan, she could have entered in a subtle way but she chose to have a parade and 150 people died. She should have learned from that, instead, she goes out and rides on the back of a pickup truck in a neighborhood that was known for having a lot of her enemies supporters.

I feel sorry for her, her family and her supporters. It's an awful tragedy, and my heart goes out to those people. The people of Pakistan have been robbed of a chance of improving their country by (I suspect, but I may be wrong) Musharraf, who only wants total control. I hope there is a full public investigation.

It was bound to happen, but yes, it is very sad. She was a good woman who tried to help her country. But, there are horrible people out there; horrible people that usually out number the good. God rest her soul. I hate to imagine what will become of Pakistan now...

Absolutely...but I saw it coming a month ago. She was an immensely courageous and beautiful woman, well educated and cared deeply for her people. She knowingly risked her life for democracy, moderation, hope and rule of law for her people...and obviously she was a threat for those who didn't, namely the Islamic extremists. RIP beautiful woman.

I'm sad. But even with her, the violence wouldn't have stopped. It is part of the culture there.
