On a corporate level, the use of sex to sell things, yes it is over rated.
But 1 to 1 the sex act releases more good feeling brain stuff than anything around. And look how well it has kept the world well-supplied with humans and other species.

I think it's very over-hyped by magazines and newspapers. There seems to be constant pressure to convince us that we're not living a 'real' life unless we're having non stop sex. Over rated? Not sure about about that, I think it depends on the people taking part.

Yes, its a global obsession that seems to govern most of our lives, I've become to hate it when it is used so blatently to sell products or get people what they want.
It's nice in moderation but I must say I've got loads of hobbies that come a lot closer to the top of my top ten list of priorities

It depends on how often you get it. If it's often, it's more likely to be boring; if it's rare, it's most likely to be exciting and thrilling.
There are many factors to describe so I can't make my judgement on that.
