There is no "true key," but one way to increase the likelihood is to think differently.
Some would say, "Seek out happiness where and when you are." This is good because it focuses on the present rather than the past or the future; however, it is also bad. What's so bad about it? Well, the wording makes it so that happiness is some illusive 'thing' you have to find rathering than being a 'thing' that you create yourself. As such, I think I would say, "Find (or create) happiness where and when you are." How we talk about things change how we see them. For example, "I have to go to grandma's house" or "I get to go to my grandma's house" sound the same; however, the first is said with a sense of necessity (i.e., 'have to'). In contrast, the second is said with a sense of interest (i.e., 'get to'). In the same way, one seems to "find" more happiness when he/she feels that he/she makes it whereever they are. See it in yourself and it follows you and is dependent on you (where you are, so it too is).

No. There is no single key to happiness. Your search for understanding and growth will be a trial and there will be periods of happiness. Those who seek only happiness will be like the wanderer in the desert who can never fully quench his thirst.

If you're religious (and even if you're not), it's probably making peace and knowing that you lived a good life on earth, with a belief that when you're time comes, something else happens besides just being in dirt.
Otherwise, I think it deals with love. It feels good to love someone, whether family, friends, whatever. It feels just as good, if not better, to be loved.

Well, I know that money doesn't buy happiness, but it will sure rent a lot of it.
