Lack of knowledge is my weakness. I have plenty of self discipline, but knowledge is required to reinforce the desire for discipline.

If your knowledge is lacking because of a lack of facts or a lack of belief, then you can feel like there is no point in being disciplined when you do not believe in the purpose of the objective.

When you have personal experience, your belief in an objective is enhanced. This is regardless of the facts.

A specific example would be abusing alcohol. How do you know what abuse is without experiencing its effects. Do you just believe it is bad for you, and never try it for yourself? Or do you find out the hard way, and then work out your best strategy to minimise abusive situations.

Cigarettes are another vice, which can be eliminated with self discipline. It is easy to be self disciplined if you have enough desire. You gain desire for self discipline by gaining knowledge.

Sugar and caffeine have specific effects on your well being as well. Only by increasing your knowledge (or belief) can you increase your desire and therefore self discipline.

Knowledge is my weakness.
