I'm on a really low budget but I need texting and calling. Any suggestions.

A tracfone. You buy them from Wal-Mart, you buy a minutes card (Also from Wal-Mart) And you can use those minutes for texting and of course, airtime (talking)

When you send or receive a text msg, it subtracts 0.3 of 1 minute from your pre-paid allowance. You don't have to sign up for a contract or anything.

I use Virgin Mobile, it costs only $7 per month. The coverage and service is excellent, and that includes long distance and texting.
