The bible is good and moral and many people (including yourself) have obviously replaced it with something else. What a foolish question.

Those of us who have outgrown religion no longer need a bible or any other fairy tale to tell us how to behave. We behave because we know it is right. Period. The problem is that too many weakminded people out there cling to religion as a crutch to keep them from thinking about the more complex things in life. They need such a book to simplify life.

Besides that difficulty, we have the subquestion of what to replace it with. Would we vote? There are many books that advocate goodness and morality.

Why do people post opinions as fact? The fact of the matter is, in your mind, you believe the bible apparently isn't a guide to how you should live your life, but to me it is, and is in fact good and moral. Why not word your question better and simply ask who believes the bible should be replaced. Then, in your space below, you could have posted a rant about how you apparently appose the bible.

the bible was written by a bunch of primitives. So what if people want to take moral/ nature of universe advice from a bunch of people who thought the night sky was a giant sheet with pinholes in it or thought you could talk to fire, or even thought sticking holy leeches on your body helped suck out evil blood.

you know what is good and moral. why do you need a book to help you with it?

Have you actually read it or are you just spouting out your rear end? There is much good moral advice on how to live a good life in the Bible. Some people corrupt and change it to fit their wants but people are only people.

No one is making you read or believe the Bible. If you think it isnt good or moral that may say more about you than it does about the book though. (doesnt mean you have to buy into it)

What a silly thing to say. Each person has personal beliefs and choose whether or not to identify with a particular religion. Suggesting that one religious book should be "replaced" is irrational.

What would be the moral obligation to obey some book that you invented?

Isn't this what the Soviet communists did?
