We have a septic tank and use RIDX monthly in the toilets, but is it safe to use in the bathtub drains to remove hair?

Ridx can do no more for your septic tanks than using a packet of yeast that you would use for baking. Also a pint of buttermilk would have the same effect. They all three have the same effect putting the good bacteria where it needs to be. This I learned from the guy who inspected our septic tank when we sold our house. Just wash either into your sink or toilet to save money. Ridx is more expensive

Products like RIDX are live bacteria intended to enhance the natural process in the septic tack of breaking down solids. It is a slow process and not effective for drain clogs unless you have a lot of time. Most likely the environment in the bathtub drain will not support the activity needed to maintain the activity. Use a drain cleaner or remove the hair by hand. Most septic system professionals will tell you that products like RIDX are like chicken soup for a cold. It won't cure it but it won't hurt anything either. In a properly working system there is more than enough bacteria to perform the required job. Adding more probably won't do anything. If the system is failing it won't cure that either.

I dont know but I think it is mainly for commodes. All your pipes will go to the same place. You should buy the drain covers that wont let hair go thru them.

It probably won't remove hair from your bathtub. It won't hurt to try.
