The Bulls are not playing well this year and it is much easier for management to get rid of one coach rather than all the players. I also believe he is a guy with some talent as a coach and would expect to see him land on his feet with another team, maybe before the season is over.

Well, last year when you liked to watch Scott Skiles style, the team was winning. Any style is good when you are winning. The bulls were good last year and were picked to be one of the top teams in the East this year.
This year, they are awful. Completely dreadful. And a season that looked so promising has turned into flat out embarassing.
Tony La Russa said after he left the A's that a coach can only motivate a particular group of players for so long. After that, his words become repetitive and stagnant. I think that may be what happened in Chicago.

9 wins 17 losses. That's why Skiles was fired. The Bulls were expected to be a playoff team and that just won't do it. So bye bye Scott. Sure his players were playing way below their potential but easier to fire the coach then all the players. It's the usual story in sports.

The only reason why he was fired was because the bulls were struggling (9-16). I know how you feel I also thought Scoot Skiles was a great coach. I'm from Chicago I love the bulls, I think the bulls made a dumb decision by firing him.

The bulls have 8 wins
thats why. I have sat here in chicago wondering what went wrong, and then I realized, Noah sucks, Ben wallace has been misused in situations, and Skiles has had issues with THomas, and Sefolosha about playing time, in situaitons. It was time for a change. When a team wins 50 games one year and opens the next year with 20 loses they need to fire somebody. I think Paxson is next.

Hey i understand your feelings
I really liked Scott Skiles as well
But, the Bulls were underacheiveing bigtime!
and they had to blame it on somebody
so Skiles got the bad end of it and he got fired
The Bulls Organiziation is very upset and wondering why the Bulls are doing so bad with the talent they have
So they had to do something
I think it was a bad move

bulls were not winning. though it is not his fault that the players werent performing. but this season he felt as if though he didnt have the same control. paxon made his let wallace wear a headband, they drafted noah who skiles didnt want, gordon and deng didnt get contract extensions, and a lot of trade rumors discouraged the players early on. bottom line skiles was being controlled a little too much by paxon and the players and they figured to let him go. but now they are a bigger mess. they are still losing and there really isn't any reliable coaches out there.
but good luck to scott and thanks for the success.

They just were not winning. There were high expectations.
I think Skiles got as much out of the team as he could. However the team was not playing well. Without a post presence, it's tougher to be a perimeter team.

I think he was Great! Last night the game was really a mess. The players didn't know what to do! And the temporary coach was just as confused! Why did they take their bad playing out on Scott? It took me a long time to believe that the best thing was to trade one of them for a well known good player That might motivate them to play better and to play together. I feel like they are one of my family (i know that's ridiculous) and it is hard to let one go. Jim Boylan has just been made the coach for the rest of season!

He was a good coach. As you've probably noticed, every time a team doesn't play well, they fire their coach. Almost every team that loses in the NBA final usually always fires their coach: Detroit Pistons,2005,final : Miami heat,2005, conference finals.
