I walk three miles a day, a habit I got into in 2004, when I decided I'd better lose weight or end up with a ton of health problems. I lost 130 lbs. & have kept it off. Walking is the most natural form of exercise & it makes me feel rejuvenated each day that I do it. It's my time & I look forward to it.

Actually, I used to love to exercise and had a weight room in the house years ago. I also used to run track. Somedays I walk 3 miles a day. Personally, I don't know why I don't do more of it. The ground is so uneven here, that it does make walking difficult, especially without sidewalks and having to walk on the swale or the road..

I exercise. I get up in the morning and put the coffee on. Then I pour a large mug of it. After melting a couple of horse shoes in it I drink it. Then get on the computer. My exercise is done until I need a cigarette. Then I go outside smoke one and hack and kaff until I feel a little better, I figure that works my heart and trying to draw 'some' air into my lungs works those too. Since my legs don't work that well I just leave them alone.

I really do like to work out on the weight machines at the fitness center, but right now I can't seem to find a place in my schedule for that. I do walk and do a LOT of yard work , tho, which keeps me in pretty good shape. And right now I have a lot of heavy yard work to do, we are still cleaning up after the ice storm and there is a lot of sawing and cutting of branches, and trees, and the whole acre is still littered with it. So I guess I won't need the fitness center after all!

I enjoyed being in great shape most of my life, but now that I'm in my 50's and arthritic I have to force myself to stick to some form of exercise regimen. I miss the feeling I once got after a long and grueling workout. Now, getting out of bed without creaking is a sign of a good day!

I like to exercise. I use 5 lb weights while I watch TV and during commercials I do Tai Chi. I love walking and want to continue to be able to do so when I am 80! I agree with you about exercise.

I get outside and walk 4-6 miles when Im not working and I love being out in the fresh air and the natural beauty, it's something I look forward to and I try not to miss it, now, going to the gym to lift is another story....I have to make myself do that.

Yes, I walk as much as possible and I use arm & leg weights to help give me a little resistance.

I love bike riding but lately it has been too cold to really enjoy it. I am just getting out for short rides. When it warms up I'll be back to longer rides.

Exercise in a gym is torture by boredom. I gotta be Doin' somethin' or goin' somewhere.
