Your new GPU has loaded the GPU. The extra "eye candy" and resolution you run with the new card has tasked your CUP more making the smart fan rev up to keep the CPU cool. The old 6200 didn't load the CPU as heavy.

An 8600gt is a upper mid range card and you will be playing more graphic intensive games maybe you should get a bigger CPU and or cooler.

Graphics cause your cpu to work harder then any other task that we do and games are graphically intense. So the more graphics there are in a game the hotter the cpu gets. Your cpu fan speed is controlled by a heat sensor on your mother board and therefor will turn faster when you are playing these games.

more things are now being processed and that makes heat! Also if your card has a fan it might be adding to the noise

thats because you probably have higher graphics setting with your new graphics card, and so it means more processing for your CPU.

properly it quite is possible that greenish blue could have been thermal paste :( The fan won't be on the way it desire's b/c it quite is not getting sufficient air making the followers artwork harder which isn't reliable.
