I dont and i was wondering who did. I think you should be who you want to be, your friends choose you for being you. Ive realise this from changing over the past year, i used to be so quiet and 'hide in the corner' kinda person, who darn't say my opinion, now ive come out of my shell and in sixthform i really dont care about the looks i get off the younger students anymore. Or the older one as a matter of fact.
Be who you are, dont hide in your shell, i did it for too many years and im happier now =D
Anyone agree??

On the one hand, I do care what people think of me, partially for the simple reason that everyone likes to be liked, but largely because I have this natural tendency to always think about what kind of example I am setting for others. I care about their opinions when it comes to my integrity.
My younger siblings did follow in my footsteps in a lot of ways, & I'm really glad I paid attention to whether or not they looked up to and respected me! I'm also a member of a church that is constantly being scrutinized... And since I care about sharing my beliefs with others, I refuse to live my life in a way that will make anyone ever say, "Yeah, but Amanda was Mormon, and she did this and this and this, so I'm not even going to give that church a chance."
Of course I can't be perfect, & I don't try to pretend I am (not that I could anyway, lol), but I do feel like I can be a decent and respectable person, and it doesn't hold me back at all from being who I am...
On the other hand, when it comes to things like my personality -- my ULTRA-dorky sense of humor, my klutziness, etc. -- I don't give a crap. And it's a good thing, too, since my sense of humor is really unique (it kinda has to grow on you, unless you're one of the rare people who just 'get' me from the start), lol. If I cared whether or not everyone thought I'm cute or funny or smart or whatever, I'd live my whole life for others instead of just being myself and having fun!
That came with age, though. I didn't used to be NEARLY this confident. And maybe I'd care more what you think of me if I didn't know there is always a huge chunk of people that adore me no matter what. Like, probably people with less of a support system/fan club (lol) will care more what strangers think of them. Just a theory. : )
This was a good question.

I agree completely. I have found that the older you get the easier it is to not care about what others think of you, but there are times when I still do worry about what others think, but I try not to...as long as a person doesn't hurt anyone, they shouldn't have to worry about what others think.

No, well at least when it comes to people in general. But I care if they're my teachers and in the future, my bosses, basically people who decide on how I live (school = uni = job= money = living = surviving). But other than that, no.

Maybe I do a lot, that's why right now I stopped caring on what they say or they'll say. A reason for a reason.

I'm still the shy girl in "my shell." I am still in the process of coming out of it and trying to forget what people think of me.

Not even a little. If they don't like me, they too can stand in line to bite me.
