The Wii is worth more than what Nintendo is asking for it. Think about the technology in it - motion sensing remotes that are also wireless, built-in wireless Internet, support for Gamecube games, etc. The games for it are VERY fun; I recommend Super Paper Mario, because it's one of my favorites.

Yes, the Wii takes an SD (Standard Digital) card. The way it works is that you load pictures on it while it's in your PC (optional) and then you insert it into the Wii; while it's in the Wii you can view the pictures (great for big-screen TVs) and you can enhance them, plus you can drag and drop game files (great for playing on other Wii's); also you can store up to ten Mii's (characters created by players to represent themselves during gameplay) on each Wii remote (also great for using other Wii's).

You might say that Wii games are expensive since five of them cost the same as the Wii, but other games cost the same if not more. Besides, it must have been very difficult for the game designers to program all of the motion sensing.

Read the online reviews. Most people who have tried the XBox 360, the PlayStation 3, and the Wii agree that the Wii is the overall best for its value, low price, and overall enjoyability. I own all three game systems and I agree wholeheartedly.

The Wii is totally worth it. There is so much to do with the Wii that a lot of systems do not have.
First you can make game wireless. No other system has wireless game play. The PS3 has wireless, but it is more tilt to move instead of moving the whole controller to move a guy or kick.

Second there is Miis. You can create a guy that represents you like the guy you have on the yahoo answer profile. You can send them to your friends and use them in games.

Third you can go on the internet. You use the Wiimote as a pointer and muse. It is more functionalbe then the ps3 internet. You can zoom in to make the picture look bigger or zoom out to make the picture fit the TV.

fourth You can buy classic game that you just to play as kids. xbox took the same idea from Nintendo since they are making a killing from virtual console games.

fifth There are a ton of stuff to do even when your not playing a game. You can put your made mii in contests and see how other people like it. You vote in polls and go on the internet like I said. Also you can check the weather (weather channel sucks, but it is free) and also the news from around the world. Also share pictures from your SD card.

There hardware does not break that much. I had my Gamecube for 4 years before the eye broke on it. So they are good with that.

The Wii does not need a memory card. It has a built in hard drive that stores the games like the ps3 and xbox360. The only problem with it is it only has 512mb and if you hard drives that is not a lot at all.
anything else you want to know just

The Wii is worth buying!

First off, XBox 360's and PS3s almost always overheat. The Wii doesn't, and it's durability is great! The games are awesome, especially ones like Twilight Princess and Super Paper Mario. The Wii doesn't have to have a memory card, either, even though you could purchase one for extra memory. I've had my Wii since April and it's filled up, but I doubt it will happen to you if you don't make so many Boogie music videos :P

So it's worth buying and isn't as much crap as the PS3 and XBox 360.

1st. The machine will not break within a year, my friend had one for a year or two and its going great. I come over all the time to play it its the best ever! Theres no garantee it won't break if you take good care of it you shouldn't have a probleme.

2nd. The memorie card is built in the systeme and will save automaticly on the games. If you need more room you can always buy some more.

3rd. I really like this game its deffinitely worth it... Its not like the other game systemes out there. Like playstations and xboxs there great too but you know its not always the same thing sitting down and .. you know. Its different and tons of fun. When you first get the systeme you already have games in it {Tennis,Baseball,Bowling,Golf,Boxing} Plus theres so much more you can check out. You need to buy more games for different features. Lots of the games you will need to buy nucklechuks to play them and be able to use more controles. All the times I played it I had so much funn! But there pretty much out of stalk everywhere you cant find one go to EB Games and pre-order it. Theres probably other shops also.
Anyways go for it. Its also great for exercise!! You loose more calories while playing a video game how awesome is that. =]]

Absolutely worth it i managed to get hold of one two days before christmas, and ended up having 12 people (including my 79 year old granddad) taking turns playing bowling on wii sports!!!
As for durability, its predecessors the gamecube, N64 and SNES were far more hardy than the competition, they just sometimes lacked original games, which has been cured with the Wii.
Memory is in built but you can purchase more, but my friend has had his for 8 months and has still not filled all his hard drive memory.

Nintendo has the reputation of having the most durable hardware. It has had no overheating problems, and so far, very few durability problems. The games are excellent, as long as you go for the hardcore games like Metroid, Zelda, etc. Dont be fooled by the excess of minigames. It is definitely worth its worth :)

i find the Wii is not worth what it is, the games are quite similar and you can only go up and down, and side to side, i mean it isn't amazing! i found that the games were babyish and all cartoony. Thats just my opinion though. As for the breaking thing i do not know whether it will break in a year, the memory is built into the system so you do not need to buy a card
