First go to the Wii setting and choose internet setting.
Second click on the first of three ways to connect (It will ask wired or wireless choose wireless).
Third go on the back of the router and find a code. If it has a code then go to the last setting and it will ask you for a Wep or other codes your router might need. Put that in so the router know you are authorized to use it and not the next guy next door.
fourth make it search for the router (if it did not find it go up to the router turn it off for 5 second and do it again).

That should be about it. If you have any more question just ask me

yes, you need to go to the settings menu form the wii's main menu, then go to settings > Internet > Nintendo wifi connection > then search for wireless networks in range, then select your router from the list

You need to configure your Wii's internet connection. Got to the Wii settings , internet setup then configure to connect to your wifi at home.
