It would be perfect for South American Dwarf Cichlids and Kribensis (Kribensis are African Cichlids, but they originate in waters that are similar to those in South America). Your water would not be good for most other African Dwarf Cichlids though... Dwarfs from Lake Tanganyika (shell dwellers) require hard, alkaline water, and for your water, should be avoided. If you are interested in Dwarf Cichlids, look into Rams (Bolivian or German Blue/Gold), Apistos (there are a LOT of species of Apistos, but all are fairly peaceful and have similar requirements), or Kribs (Kribensis). For a nice, mixed Dwarf tank, you should invest in at least a 30 gallon tank with a good filter (AquaClear is the BEST!) and a heater to keep the water around 78*. Live plants and rock caves will make them feel very at home, but plastic plants would be fine as well... Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Dwarf Cichlid(what type)this seems to be for all dwarfs:
TEMPERATURE:72-79f
PH:6.8-7.5
DISCUS:like PH:6.8-7.0 TEMP:75-80f
I think there's an easily found balance wich will be suitable for both species.
