bad move (no pun intended). I would notify your doctor, tell them what you did. I'm sure everything is ok, but you want to make sure. Never take anything your doctor doesn't prescribe.

actually you shouldn't try and induce yourself, that can cause alot of problems.....castor oil can induce labor but you have to remember that anything you take your baby gets as well. Castor oil is a laxative.......so if it makes you have a bowel movement it can cause the baby to have a bowel movement as well, which can be very dangerous to the baby because he /she will ingest it, and that can kill athe baby..... so you may need to get to the doctor...and make sure everything is ok.......good luck....

i think all this does is cause diareoh( however its spelt) this is then meant to make the baby come. i was 41 weeks with terrible sciatica, i could only crawl the stairs and hobble everwhere. i tried most things to set baby off, but i didnt try this as i havent heard good things about it. nothing worked for me. i was induced and believe this is the only real way to bring on a baby

castor oil will likely only send you to the bathroom. the only two things that doctors seem to agree will get your labor started faster (safely) are having your membranes stripped (a quick office procedure, no big deal, sometimes works) and sex. my doc stripped my membranes; it didn't work. she told me to have sex. that didn't work either. but this was all a week before my due date. i would give them both a try if i were you. good luck!

No, its not. Its more likely your bowels making noise and disturbing the baby. Even if you actually go into labor, now you'll be dehydrated and more exhausted so much so as you may inhibit your labor efforts.

well it might be but keep in mind that castor oil is also a laxative .... it might be just your bowels going nuts....

probably not...did your doctor suggest this? you really should just wait until your baby is ready or your doctor induces you.
