The team will now be saluting the crowd at the end of the game in the same style that the Canadian juniors adopted years ago and the New York Rangers adopted in 2005-2006. It's a fan appreciation thing.

Odd isn't it? Blackhawk fans having something to cheer about I mean.
One might call it a curtain call hockey style. In this case the team acknowledges the support of the fans.
