I worked at Outback for 3 years. First, go during happy hour 4-7, 2 for 1 drinks, they have the BEST margaritas(and yes they are 2 for 1). Coconut Shrimp appetizer is the best. If your going to a steakhouse, order a filet, it's the most tender, I suggest MR to M on the open flame, it comes with a house or caesar salad, although the house salads rock and the dressings and croutons are made in the back. Also it comes with a side, I prefer steamed veggies but you can make adjustments to anything. If you only want broccoli, go for it. Another favorite is baked sweet potato with honey butter and cinnamon. If you want romaine in your house salad instead of iceburg, no problem. They also have a great selection of wines, but only house brand is on happy hour. Desserts are great too, try the Cinnamon Oblivion. If your not big on steak, try the Alice Springs Chicken, its a seasoned breast covered with bacon and cheeses. Pork Chops are good too, and ribs are tender. You can also add on a lobster tail to any entree or grilled shrimp.

If you are going to get an appetizer you should have either the Coconut shrimp or if you don't like seafood, the Aussie Cheese Fries. For dinner you should have the prime ribeye cooked medium rare on the open flame with pineapple glaze. You have to say the words to the server " open flame with pineapple glaze." Then have either a blue cheese chopped salad or a ceasar salad with extra croutons. For your side, get the macaroni and cheese ( I know it sounds simple, but their mac n cheese is the best). You also have to get the grilled onions as a side. I worked at Outback for over 7 years and I have had everything on the menu, this is the best meal that you can get from there, trust me!!!

The steaks are usually very good. I like the Victoria's Filet with a side of their garlic mashed potatoes. If you are looking for something less expensive, try the Chicken on the Barbie. Its a grilled chicken breast, seasoned very well, with their homemade BBQ sauce on the side, served with steamed veggies (soaked in butter of course). It is one of my favorite things on the menu.
Their hamburgers are also very good, but my personal favorite......(drumroll please) THE MACAROO & CHEESE. They have by far, the best mac & cheese anywhere! Its on the kids menu but they will still let you order it. Most of the time I get a salad with their homemade ranch dressing and an order of the mac & cheese. FAB!!

Order the filet either with or with out the bleu cheese topping...depends on your taste.
Meals come with salad and side.
Salad ceasar or house -- i prefer house, I not like taste of their ceasar dressing.
Try the sweet potatoe. Yummm..comes with butter and cinnamon.
also, their mushrooms and sauteeed onions delicious

The walkabout soup is fantastic. A really thick and creamy potato based soup.
Everyone loves the bloomin' onion, and the coconut shrimp always got kudos from my friends...though I wouldn't know since I only eat shrimp stirfried or boiled.
The one thing I would avoid though is their buffalo wings. Don't know what they're called or if it's just referred to as buffalo wings, but they are just plain nasty. Like spicy KFC. All the seasoning is in the breading. No sauce, no dressing, nada.
