Probably WoW.
I'm going to have to disagree with the person that stated EVE Online is "elementary." EVE Online is hands down the most complex and in depth online game I have ever seen, played, or heard about.

My husband and I have tried four ... World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings, Eve, and Second Life. Both Eve and Second Life are too slow, and very 'elementary' to get started ... Lord of the Rings is good, but even though there are things like animation that are better than WoW, we both play WoW six days a week, and play Lord only when the WoW servers are down in the morning one day a week. My husband is a web developer, so ALL games must be 'extra complicated' for his 'artist's eyes' but also very engaging ... and WoW is all of that and more.
