Some areas are wifi areas and you can search on available networks whilst out but remember most are unsecured and also make sure you're not using someone home wireless thats open... its illegal!

I'm sure you could get some info on wifi areas for your town on google somewhere.

There are two choices - one free and one expensive.

Assuming that you have a laptop with a wireless card, you can go to anyplace with a "hot spot" and connect - usually for free. This would include most public libraries and places like Starbucks and many other restaurants. Also most hotels provide free wireless access as part of the room.

The expensive alternative is an "aircard". This is a type of wireless that uses cell phone signals, and can be purchased from your wireless carrier. However the cards usually run $100+, have a monthly fee for the service, plus you pay cell phone rates "per minutes" when using the card. People have run up bills in the $10,000 range in a month's time with such services if they are not careful.

I was told by an AT&T person that if I want to use my laptop outside of my home I would need to purchase card that I would insert into my laptop and I could use it at school, or at Starbucks, the library. Basically, wherever there is service. The card cost about $100. I hope this helped.

you attach a wireless modem to the PC and you have to set up ann account with your Internet provider and they are very expensive at about 65pence per minute similar to pay as you go on a mobile phone.
You can also attach your Mobile phone to the PC and use that as a modem as long as you have enough talk time on your mobile phone but like I've said its expensive
