As far as the news go, presidential politics will take a back seat and focus will be on Bhutto's assassination, and the aftermath that will follow. Candidate Joe Biden has mentioned Pakistan as being the power-keg to watch; he was right.

Many major things else where are of no concern to Americans. It is one more death in a distant third world country. so it is of no concern and it will not affect in any way the elections here. No candidate will make an issue out of it as they do not know how it will boom rang into their electoral prospects.
