There is one exceptional case here to my general rule: my own father. He abused, beat down, molested and tortured me, my sisters, my mother and countless others through the years.
I left him to rot when I was in my 20s and determined to go to college to get my bachelor's degree. That was 20+ years ago and he's *still alive*, and still a damned menace *in total spite* of three separate bouts of cancer (his liver is failing now because of the repeated chemotherapy).
So yeah, I'd finish *Him* off. There's just no other way to guarantee that he wouldn't keep on ticking and *keep on hurting other people*. And I'd have problems living with myself for the rest of my life over it.
Which isn't terribly different, frankly, from my life's circumstances now. Much of my hopes and dreams lie a tattered ruin anyway. -_-
If it were *anyone* else, *ANY* of the other 6.5 billion and counting people on this planet....I might be reluctant to various degrees, but I'd suck it down and help them. Here's why.
--Killing someone is a *final* statement. There is no going back and undoing it. And I don't want that last word to be that I've *given them* that much power over my whole entire life, my whole future, which would constrict down to the life sentence in prison, down to the executioner's table.
--And....realistically, dead men feel no pain. As has been said, "Elvis has left the building." Whatever your beliefs and/or faiths are about life and death and beyond, the fact of the matter is, once you've killed someone, they've just become *Invulnerable to YOU*. They're no longer *there* and you can't hurt them further.
Whereas, if you let them live....you have some control over the circumstances under which they live, and it's still possible that this "favor" you've done them would *eat at THEM* and get under *THEIR* skin and be the cancer that torments *THEIR mind.* Sometimes death is a mercy....would you rather be dead, or....would you rather be "alive" but castrated, *utterly* incontinent (no colon left....it goes in a bag), barely able to *eat* and unable to walk?
It's not an inconceivable question. My father had cancer three times--of his colon, prostrate and testicles. He also had near-crippling arthritis of his legs and lower spine, and his liver is failing from repeated chemotherapy. If this were anyone else, death would be a mercy, and *life* would be the punishment...
But I *know* this guy. He just doesn't have it in his DNA to have a conscience. From what my sisters told me, he's *still* conniving and plotting to find new ways to abuse people by proxy. o_o
(nonetheless...I haven't finished him off. Our paths simply haven't crossed, and I intend to keep it that way.)
Still, exception aside...you get my point I hope. So long as the hated nemesis *has* the capacity for conscience, why not let them live and *suffer their fate* themselves, instead of your taking it from them, suffering it for them, in death?
I hope this helps....Good question! ^_^

Not sure, i would like to let them rot, but then there is a chance someone else would help so i would finish them off, and enjoy every last minute of it.

James is good. forget approximately approximately the different solutions. good leather-based footwear are actual tanned, yet standard leather-based couches are no longer likely tannned, they're spray-painted with a vinyl-like textile. i found this out whilst vacationing a renowned tannery, which develop into unquestionably a super spray-portray operation. exciting -- all of us experience cool getting leather-based couches, whilst all we are doing is sitting on vinyl like human beings did in the 70's.

If you hated someone there would be no decision to make you would leave them to rot because you can't have a conscience to truly hate a person.

Life is precious so I guess I'd help, unless they have harmed my family in which case I'd leave them to rot!

i would probably come to their aid, depending on the situation. If we were in a situation were we were both trying to kill each other, i would take them out. If they were hurt and defenseless, I would come to their aid seeking a reward from GOD for showing mercy to one of HIS creatures. Thats how you turn enemies into potential friends.

i would let her rot because i honestly believe that if i did come to her aid, that she'd never be grateful and continue living her life as a total cooze. it would be better for humanity as a whole if she were gone because she really is a horrible person.
