Do you all sit around eating a roast dinner together drinking wine or alcohol hoping that the new year will be better then the last one? OR will you all be suffering with hangovers?

My mom started a tradtion a few years back of a nice, sit down New Years Day dinner. It usually has steak, some sort of seafood, and a few sides... along with something chocolate for dessert.
It's nice, I like it.. :-)

We dont have a manerly dinner eating on the table with no talking, what we do is sit on the couch and we serve salad and champagne on the table and stuff like that, and we usually call friends over and we all talk and wait for the new year to come! =]

yep, roast pork - it's supposed to bring luck for the New Year...sometimes there's hangovers too

No, New Years isn't a big deal to us. We get our drink on alone

We do if we feel like it. But for us it's mainly about the night before.
