I am encouraged to read unbiased answers only, out of people's own thoughts. I am not in favour of hearing another CNN poll. I got CNN at home, so spare me the BS!! I mean that the U.S is always doing whatever favours its own behlaf. Do you think that perhaps they did that so that they can come to Pakistan and spread democracy themselves?? as they had done before in its neighbour?? Do you think that the U.S wants to come to Pakistan to guard these nuclear weapons itself from the "terrorrists", as no one, no matter how close of an ally he or she is, might, or might not be able to handle. THAT IS THE QUESTION !

You've been reading too many cheap paperback conspiracy thriller novels.

There are two chances we had a hand in doing this - slim and none. And Slim left last week for Amarillo.

She was a force for modernization of the region. I consider it most likely that the hard-line religious whackos in her own country did her in rather than allow her to reform their country and bring it into the modern world. We would have preferred that. With her death, the region is destabilized again, and we don't prefer that.

Therefore, the finger doesn't point here. Our best interests would have rested with her staying alive.

Take your whack-job theories elsewhere. Use your head for something besides a button to keep your backbone from unraveling too fast.

Exactly the opposite.

Benazir Bhutto was a friend of the United States.

We had hoped that she would bring some stability to Pakistan.

That is probably the reason that her opponents had her assasinated.

Her opponents want instability because they think that instability will make it easier for them to seize power.

No..there was too much planning of co-operation between the U.S. and Pakistan if she were to gain control again.
I also don't believe it was the current PM...it's most likely..do I dare say...muslim extremists.

Not at all! Our government was pressuring Musharraf to let her be Prime Minister while he stayed President.

Now whether Musharraf had her killed-- THAT is the question.
