I highly doubt that... Unless they had a sweatshop of Electric Eels, and they were constantly forcing them to release their voltage, and had some insane plan for capturing and using their electricity, there is virtually no way that is even possible... While Electric Eels can generate 650 volts, they take time to regenerate this electricity, so they could not provide constant power. They may have added minute amounts of additional voltage, but they certainly didn't power the entire aquarium...

they can do alot with an electric eel, i saw the one in china who lit up the christmas tree but i think it is cruel to the eel or dont you think so, we dont know what that eel feels when we make him go and do this. sorry i just a fish lover
