I live in Pakistan. I'm completely in shock. I wasn't a supporter of hers, but I am deeply saddened by her death. However, she was well aware of the risks as there were numerous threats against her life before this. Unfortunately, it willl have a detremental impact on the country as a whole, not only in the political environment. Bhutto was an extremely popular figure here. There will be rioting and bloodshed initially. The elections scheduled for Jan 8th will be postponed and serious inquires will be held to point the finger as far away from President Musharraf as possible. Pakistani people are already highly agitated and this is the last thing the country needed at this time. Fortunately for the counrty, Bhutto's death will save the nation from another round of corruption and thievery. She was as corrupt as they come in this counrtry.

I am deeply upset by her death. She was a courageous woman that knew what an uphill battle she was facing. It was probably more politics than religion that killed her. Although I'm sure religion had some place in it as well. Her courage while facing death should be looked at with respect. She stood up for what she believed in while most would run and hide. i will always remember her conviction towards peace and democracy. And a woman on top of all that!
I would like to Thank her for her life. I hope others will remember what she has done.

I was saddened to hear of her assassination, she had so many things going for her and hopely for her country. It was probably alot of both politics and misguided religion. The truth is that even with her assassination nothing will change there will be move killings for another hopeless cause. Perhaps we should return in lets say 20 years and read chapter two I'm sure it will read just like chapter one.

Bloody mad. Misguided politics, possibly influenced by bitter and twisted old mullahs with too much influence. Have to remember there's still a lot of educated, as well as peaceful Pakistanis around. Pakistan began as a democracry, reckon most Pakistanis still value that and will fight to keep it.

Beautiful woman,...to some. Fearless leader,....I doubt that. Foolish is more likely. I think she basically killed herself. She totally misread the situation there and who the players really were. She was a crook like the rest of them but her agenda was more appealing to the west which got her wacked. It's a shame but if you really think about it you could see it coming. Now, things will be more unstable which is not good for a country like that with a nuclear arsenal...

Disgusted...these idiots call themselves becoming "martyrs", and end up making them instead. All because some jerk in a cave tells them to blow themselves up, and they do it. I just wish no one was injured but the terrorist...As a matter of fact, let them all go into a field and blow themselves up together...good riddance!
Bhutto should never have stood up out of that sunroof...As an educated woman, she should have known better. I hate to say it, but she signed her own death warrant by doing that.

I believe it was both politics and religion, she was female and they couldn't deal with a female leader.
