I was reading Y! Rumors today and it is all doom and gloom. There have been many injuries in the past few months.

Which injury has had the biggest impact on your most beloved NHL team?

Joe: Simon Gagne is a big loss. Not only on the ice, but also he his a great asset to the Flyers locker room.
Spud: I don't want to hear your whining. At least you have seen winning streaks.
Slapshot: Marian Gaborik has really helped one of my fantasy leagues this year.
Mrs Crosby: On the opposite end of the spectrum, Fleury has totally screwed up one of my fantasy leagues.
TBL: I am surprised that you didn’t say Boyle. Man, we could have used him last night. Craig was really great for those deflections last year. I’ll be going to the game tonight. Look for the drunken girl in the Lightning shirt. Lmao.
Doug: Bergeron could be ready in about 1 month the news said yesterday.
CME: Poor McCabe. We all have had a bunch of fun at his expense this year.

Amy & No_Dirt: I don’t want to hear you complaining you lucky ducks. Red Wings are rocking. It is like when one falls; the others step up to the plate.
Lity: Havlat has never really done it for me. I think you guys will be fine without him.
Andrew & Jeff: Stillman has been the biggest surprise to me this season for you guys. I was thinking that the car accident in the beginning of the season was a bad start for him, but man, has he persevered. I have not seen that hit yet by Orr.

Ryan Craig is beginning to be awarded the title of "injury prone." He was out for most of last season, and has yet to be in the line-up for any period of time this season.

HALEY - This team has played better with Danny Boyle OUT of the line-up. When that happens, the player becomes useless and should be traded/not renewed a contract.

No game for me tonight. I don't except a big crowd, especially for a Thursday night- this team is looking awfully pitiful.

Enjoy the snow outside the Forum though!

BOB - Yes Boyle is important to this team, but he was rushed back too soon and is currently a minus+7. Ryan Craig was a force for us in his rookie season.

Potentially, it's Fleury. That is, if he would've gotten himself together. People seem to forget that this season is only his 2nd full NHL season. He started off slow last season. He may not have his game developed enough to start off strong. Who knows, barring his and a couple of other players' injuries, the Pens could have become more consistent.

I can definitely say the Pens are hurting without Maxime Talbot though. He's a gritty, energetic player. A character guy. I fully believe his presence in the locker room is missed as much as his on-ice efforts. And I think he's better at faceoffs than Malkin...

NJ lost both Colin White on D and Jamie Langenbrunner up front from the start of the season. The returns have re-ignited the team, and upon his return, Langs was named captain. The impact of these injuries was difficult to measure, since there were many roster moves in the off-season, but the teams performance since the return of these two show the impact the injuries had on the team earlier this season.

I think it's the brain injuries that were obviously suffered by upper management that lead the club to be in such an awful mess. The richest club in the league can't field a decent team because they hire morons and dipsticks to run the show and they siphon off supertanker loads of cash from a program that has no future, no present and a so-so past without ever thinking once they owe it to their fans to deliver the goods every so often.

NUKE 'EM ALL AND LET GOD SORT THEM OUT!

Tim Thomas isn't back to his old self since his injury.
The missing Patrice Bergeron has been a big loss along with Murry. All those trying to fill their skates are having a tough tome specially the last 4 games.

As usual, the Sabres defense has taken a hit due to injuries. I'd have to say the loss of Teppo for the first 1/3rd of the season has really hurt the D of my team. Thankfully, Miller is healthy.

Bryan McCabe (Leafs). i know us Leafs fans rant about him when he's in the line up (sadly that includes me as well..) but the guy can play great hockey when he's in good shape & feeling confident & you can see when he's feeling confident. Also, Toskala onyl been out 1 game..so far & missed already. lost yesterday in OT. im not blaming Raycroft because even though he let in 3 goals in 1st period, he played very well for 45 minutes afterwards. still, Vesa would have been able to stop 2 of the 3 goals the Andrew let in. we will see how he acts from that tonight. & i guess some what Carlo. what about your team??

My actual team is Gagne. The team was a little inconsistent with him and hit their first big skid of the season now that he has been out for an extended period of time. The good news on that front, he was skating in full practices before Christmas and should be back in the lineup shortly. The short break combined with his return will hopefully be the jolt this team needs to get back into the win column.

Dan Boyle banged me on my fantasy team this year. He was the first d-man I drafted and a damn skate falling from a hook in his locker has managed to take him out for half the season so far.

Detroit has some significant players out with injuries: Zetterberg has back spasms; Holmstrom has a "deeply bruised" knee thanks to the Blues; Kirk Maltby is out with back spams. That's a pretty big dent. Fortunately we've had some of the younger players step up, like Filppula and Hudler. The Wings beat the Blues last night 5-0, so I can't complain. I will be looking forward to the team operating at 100%, though! It would be nice to face the Avs tonight with complete package.

Super Joe. Sure we've been doing OK without him, but the sole reason for that is because Budaj is keeping pucks out of the net. We need Sakic back.
