Does anybody know if being on your cell phone while driving in PA is banned yet? I heard that it went into effect on Nov. 10th, but nobody has confirmed this for me.
Also, if they do have to be hands free, is it a primary or secondary offense? Thanks.

There are bills pending in the Pennsylvania House and Senate that would ban the use of cell phones while driving, at least without a hands-free device, but as of this date, they have not been voted on nor enacted. In PA, it is still legal to use your cell phone while driving, although it may not be the smartest thing in the world.

hi, even thou i'm not from the states,I don't think anyone should be on the phone while on the road UNLESS you can concentrate doing 4 things at a time & your motor skill can coordinate well.

In my country,it is an offence to use the cell while driving.

There have been accidents & road hogging due to pepple who are on their cell while driving. You might want to opp for bluethooth or have your speaker on while your phone is stuck on a holder..

The information you received is a hoax at this point in time as indicated by the below website.

There are bills before legislation addressing the issue however to my knowledge...no law as of yet!

This law takes affect on January 1, 2008. And, I also think that it is a primary offense.
Your Welcome.
I hope that helps.
