Harry Potter !
Many will agree with me because it is simply magical and incredible.
So imaginitive, when i read it, i feel as if I'm there, I feel as if i'm friends with Harry and Ron, I feel as if i fought the dementers and he who must not be named.
It's too real and i love it!
Adventure, Action, Romance, MAGIC! - everything i look for put into one book!
AMAZING.
So unpredictable.
JK Rowling is an INCREDIBLY clever for thinking up such imaginative and creative ideas
The films are SO CRAP compared to the books.
I love reading the books, i feel as if i can escape from reality and be in a different magical world.
I'm not a little kid, im a teenager!
It's for all ages which is great!
You can't NOT LIKE Harry Potter because it is just INCREDABLE!
Must go on ?

My favorite book of 2007 was Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer because it was a very well written book. It is the continuing story of Bella Swan and her boyfriend Edward Cullen. In this book, Bella must decide whether to stay with Edward and became an immortal vampire or stay human with Jacob Black, her werewolf-mortal best friend.

My favorite books of 2007: The Philip Pullman Trilogy. The Golden Compass, the Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass. He is a great writer with a vivid imagination. The books are about Lyra and Will who are from different worlds, who meet by chance. They work together to change the way their worlds are heading in and tries to change that course for the betterment of mankind. You are introduced to very interesting characters, different spins on betrayal, and he really gives you insight into the new worlds. It is truly a must read for any year.

Snakehead, by Anathony Horowitz

Alex Rider, reluctant teenage spy, is back with a bang. His escape pod from the exploded satellite station Ark Angel has fallen Down Under, and no sooner has he landed than the Australian Secret Service has enrolled him for some deadly undercover work in the Far East involving Chinese criminal gangs and the criminal masterminds of Scorpia. Hurrah! Harry Potter may be gone, but Alex Rider is perpetually 14. One hopes that, like Peter Pan, he never grows up.

Alex has all his adventures packed into one explosive year, and a couple of books back he was, not surprisingly, getting rather emotionally worn even before his GCSE coursework began. This, though by far his most chilling adventure, has him react with less feeling and more ingenuity, which is on balance a mistake. If Smithers, MI6's benign inventor, once again gives him three life-saving gadgets of ingenious plausibility, Alex needs to use his brains to save himself when one of them fails to work. Convincingly disguised as an Afghan refugee, he is smuggled from Thailand to Indonesia, and then the Australian Outback, in a fiendishly complex assignment.

His reason for doing it is that, far from serving Queen and country, he wants to find out more about his murdered parents from his father's former colleague, Ash, the handsome, tough agent who is his godfather. It is often pointed out that all major children's heroes and heroines are orphans, but the sadder fact is that they are almost always betrayed by those adults whom they seek to fill the parental role. Ash is no different.

The deprivation of Bangkok, Jakarta and those living in extreme poverty is depicted with savage accuracy, and one of the worst moments is when Alex is simply packed in a container on a ship bound for Jakarta with 20 other refugees being smuggled in by the gang.

"A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khalid Hosseini. Brilliant book about the life of two women in different parts of Afghanistan. It's beautifully written and very heartbreaking. It shows how tough life is there for women of all ages in all aspects of time. It's interesting to read about how they're treated in current days. The story follows both girls' different paths growing up and how they're both thrown into marriage and how, later, they meet.

I highly recommend it.

(The same author wrote "The Kite Runner" which has a film adaptation currently in theatres)

My favorite was probably "Water For Elephants" by Sara Gruen. It came out in paperback this year. It's a nice little story set during the depression about a kid who loses his parents and uses his incomplete Veterinarian Degree to join the circus and look after the animals. He falls in love with the ringmaster's wife and all sorts of drama ensues. It's a pretty relaxing read. It was one of my summer reads.

Lord of the Fading Lands and Lady of Light and Shadows by C.L. Wilson. There's Fey, Elves, evil mages, magic, a man that can transform into a blood thirsty black cat with poisonous fangs. All good stuff.
